Statue of a Tenor

myminifactory

Figure from the attic of the destroyed Vienna Ringtheater. A total of four statues (singing quartet) once adorned the facade of the theatre at Schottenring 7, which opened in 1874, and represent the four most frequent voice registers: soprano, alto, tenor and bass. The building was destroyed by a severe fire in 1881. The rescued figures are now in the Pötzleinsdorf castle park.
