This ancient sculpture was unearthed in Athens itself.\r\nThe head of this magnificent work of art is actually a plaster replica of its original counterpart, which stands proudly on display in a renowned museum in Berlin. The bearded man posing for the statue wears a short chiton and a corselet, while a cloak draped over his shoulder adds an air of nobility to his figure. It ranks as one of the earliest examples of a fully rounded sculpture originating from a funerary naiskos.
