Statue from Sidon II
myminifactory
Sidon, a city translating to "fishing-town" from Biblical Hebrew, ranks as Lebanon's third-largest urban center. Archaeological evidence indicates human presence in this region since prehistory began. Excavations at various sites reveal that Sidon was founded shortly before the advent of pottery production. A limestone statue now on display at Beirut's National Museum is believed to date back to the 7th-6th century BC.
