The Prophets of the Old Testament wear antique robes and have a serious demeanor reminiscent of wise but somewhat stern sages. One of them stands out from the rest due to his youthful appearance. With his curls and smooth face, he looks like the archangel Gabriel if he had wings. This is Daniel, the prophet who often appears as a young man in medieval art from the 11th and 12th centuries.
