Parts to make a modern image (freelance) platform lamp (or streetlamp ?) Requires 4mm OD brass tube (choose length to suit), a normal white 5mm LED and a 330 Ohm resistor to run off 5 Volts. The head is recessed to hold the LED and its leads, which are bent over and soldered to the resistor and the brass tube (after posting the resistor and whatever extending wire is needed) down the tube. The LED + leg is insulated from the notch in the brass tube through which it passes with hot melt glue or epoxy. The head is then glued to the top of the brass tube.
