Static De-shocker Wand

Static De-shocker Wand

thingiverse

This static dissipative wand is designed for discharging yourself to prevent unpleasant shocks in low humidity environments. It features a NE-2 neon bulb and a 39kR 1/4 W resistor, along with two brass caps or alternative conductive materials. The open-source CAD file allows customization of the geometry. The wand is easy to assemble by soldering the components in series and attaching wires to the ends before securing the end-caps. The neon bulb provides flash feedback upon successful discharge, although it may leave a slight residual charge.
