Static coupling z-axis / tight fit / anti z-wobble
thingiverse
I designed a precise coupling for the z-axis. It features a snug fit that securely connects it to a nema 17 stepper motor without needing any screws. This eliminates backlash and my Z-wobble issue disappeared after implementing this coupling. On the other side is an 8mm hole for connecting to a threaded rod. The coupling can be used on a Prusa i3 or any other 3d-printer. I use it on my custom 3d printer, Megatron. I've included ".step" files and solidworks parts in the download, allowing you to customize the construction according to your individual needs. You'll find two versions available: a short version and a long version. I plan to add more variations later. BOM: 2 x M3x10mm screws 2 x M3 nuts If you'd like me to print it for you, just let me know.
