STARWARS ACTION FIGURE STAND
thingiverse
My kids were eager to create custom stands for their Star Wars action figures, but the existing ones kept tipping over. I decided to take on the challenge and design some simple stands, but my son had a different idea - he wanted the Rebel or Empire symbol prominently displayed behind each character. Despite initial reservations, I went ahead and added it to the base, which ultimately turned out looking great. To assemble the stand, simply print the base and insert a 3/32" diameter x 1/2" long dowel pin into the hole to securely hold the action figure in place. For extra stability, you can add super glue to the pin if needed. I found these dowel pins at a local hardware store, but they're also available online at McMaster-Carr: https://www.mcmaster.com/#98381a438/=16m0xvo. The symbol inserts easily into the slot on the back of the stand, with its tapered end locking securely in place. However, if you encounter any issues with it coming loose, a dab of super glue will do the trick. I also created a version without the symbol slot for those who prefer a more minimalist design.
