StarTopHolder

We have a beautiful star-shaped light on top of our Christmas tree, but the small cone that held it in place just wasn't doing its job - it kept falling off! After one too many times, the cone snapped right off, leaving us with a broken ornament. Fortunately, I had an idea to design and print a new holder for our star-shaped light. Using TinkerCAD, I created a custom-made holder that fits perfectly on top of the tree and holds the light securely in place. This new holder is not only more reliable than the old cone, but it also looks frosty and nice, making it a beautiful addition to our Christmas tree. I've included my original design sketch and tracing of the star's outline for anyone who might want to use this design as inspiration or even remix it into their own unique creation. I've already made some tweaks to the measurements after testing the fit, so please keep in mind that the numbers are no longer accurate. The great thing about this holder is that it prints without any supports needed, and with 20% infill, it's plenty strong and durable. The center post fits perfectly where the cone broke off, and the two arms slide neatly into place. To secure everything, I used clear hot glue to attach them all together. At first, I wasn't sure if this was worth sharing, but then I thought - maybe someone out there could use this design as a starting point for their own tree topper project! Who knows, maybe we'll even see a tree-topper design contest soon.
