Starship is a spacecraft designed and built by SpaceX, the private space exploration company founded by Elon Musk. It is a fully reusable spacecraft that is capable of carrying up to 100 people or 100 tons of cargo to destinations beyond Earth's orbit. Starship is designed to be launched atop SpaceX's Super Heavy rocket, which is currently under development. The spacecraft is made of stainless steel and features advanced heat shielding to protect it during re-entry into Earth's atmosphere. Starship is intended to be used for a variety of missions, including crewed missions to the Moon and Mars, as well as point-to-point travel on Earth.
