In 1947, renowned archaeologist Grete Mostny unearthed an Inca copper alloy mace from a royal cemetery. Dubbed "champi" in Quechua, this type of club served as both a combat tool and a symbol of imperial power and prestige. Associated with the elite nobility, it embodied the authority and influence that came with high-ranking status. Scanned by Museo Nacional de Historia Natural de Chile.
