Starlink Cable Keeper

Starlink Cable Keeper

I was SOOOOooooooo excited to receive my Starlink yesterday, and almost immediately crushed by an intermittent problem regarding the 'startlink' antenna disconnecting from the router during setup. The cable Starlink provides uses a proprietary connector that simply pushes into place and does not really have a means to 'snap-in' for a secure fit. Apparently this is a known and common issue that is covered in the following link by Noah Clark. Thanks Noah! https://www.starlinkhardware.com/how-to-fix-the-starlink-disconnected-error/ After experimenting with the cable it became pretty clear to me that the slightest movement of the cable could unseat the connector, leading to a very unreliable connection. This 'cable keeper' is a collar that slides over the lower portion of the Starlink mast, and creates a spacer between the Starlink mast and whatever mount or stand your are connecting it to. The spacer has just enough room for the cable to pass through but holds the sides of the connector flush with the bottom of the mast's flange, preventing the cable from disconnecting. Hopefully Starlink will fix this design. In the meantime, this is a cheap and simply fix to get you online reliably and hassle free.
