Starlink 2nd Gen Dish Post Mount
prusaprinters

I needed a gen 2 compatible mount to get me through the next month or two while I'm waiting for a Starlink mount to arrive. I found this post mount but it was for the first generation dishy. Then I found the adapter for DirecTV and I thought maybe I could combine them to make what I needed. I brought them into PrusaSlicer and was pleased to find the “merge” function. I placed the adapter in the middle of the mount, chose merge, cut off the top 2mm where the post mount overhung the adapter (keeping the button on the dish from clicking into place), and I had a mount that would do what I needed. I also used negative area cylinders to make the screw holes a tiny bit wider.

I printed it on my Mini with a 0.6 nozzle in Stronghero CF TPU/Nylon so it is strong with a bit of flexibility to stand up to wind forces. I used 20% grid infill and 4 perimeters for all but the top 20mm. There I used 8 perimeters to get a nice solid collar around where the dish connects.

I'm sure there are better ways to do this but it got me a working mount so I figured I'd share in case it helps anyone else.
