Stark Sigil Metal Casting Mold
thingiverse
A mold for use in the metal casting lost-pla method. This mold is designed for a 3D Stark Sigil, slightly larger than those typically found on eBay and Amazon. To create this mold, you'll need mold-making materials like investment powder or plaster of Paris. Tutorials on the lost-pla method are readily available on YouTube. This video showcases the actual casting process itself, without commentary or information on mold making. As a newcomer to this method myself, I recommend seeking guidance elsewhere rather than asking me. My contribution is the mold STL file, which consists of two halves that should be glued together using an inflammable adhesive like UHU POR. The two pins provided ensure accurate alignment of the halves. A shallow recess at the base allows for personalization by engraving a name. A screw-in loop can also be fitted in the approximate location of the sprue on the back of the wolf's head, enabling you to create a necklace. To achieve a smooth finish, printing at less than 0.2mm layer height is recommended. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CH-ZT8UCaJ8 <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CH-ZT8UCaJ8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
