Stargate Base

I was so taken by this half of my original bookends design that I decided to reinvent it as a standalone model. While I drew inspiration from the original, most of the new model had to be entirely reimagined. To bring the larger pieces to life, I opted for an infill of 30%, while the smaller components required a more robust 70%. This ensured they would stay securely in place. The smaller parts also needed a brim to anchor them firmly to the bed during printing. To be on the safe side, I left supports active throughout the print, just in case additional assistance was needed. After assembly, some of the parts required minor adjustments to fit together seamlessly. To complete the look, I applied standard super glue to hold everything in place, then gave it a coat of acrylic paint and finished with a protective clear coat to seal it all in.
