I built an arcade cabinet based on The Last Starfighter last year, and it's now up and running. Check out the photos in this gallery: https://imgur.com/gallery/qgDxG. The block files were originally made of colored resin but I opted to print them in white ABS plastic instead. To add some color to my design, I used LEDs behind each file. I also created custom joystick parts that can be attached to a RetroArcade.us flight yoke to make it look more like the movie prop. You can find this yoke on Holland Computers' website: http://www.hollandcomputers.com/store/pc/Arcade-flight-yoke-stick-Joystick-eight-way-joystick-with-two-fire-buttons-and-firm-grip-2395p8069.htm. In addition, I've included a DWG file with the labels I had printed on vinyl for this project.
