I built this digital trophy inspired by a Starcraft 2 achievement that's awarded in certain tournaments. A friend of mine runs a show on Nexus Recall.com and casts the Gauntlet Cup tournament series on Twitch - what else is he going to cover?. I created all the models from scratch using Blender, relying on just a handful of reference images. The entire trophy came out perfectly with PLA printing. To get the scale right, I increased the posted models by 50% in Cura. For the base and pillar components, I printed at 0.2 mm resolution with 20% infill density, but for the emblems and SG top parts, I went with 0.1 mm resolution and 50% infill to preserve every detail. Printing out those three pillars took me around 7 hours, while the rest of the components were done in a couple hours each - and then there was the base, which took an astonishing 17 hours to print. Modeling this trophy from scratch took about 20 hours, plus another 24 hours for printing, followed by some cleanup and gluing everything together.
