Star Wars Z28 Skywing

The Incom Z28 Skywing is the most common starfighter within the Republic Defence Coalition during the High Republic Era.I was aiming for a 1:270 scale, but wasn't able to find any canon dimensions. I've assumed it to be about as big as an A-Wing. The model is 28.3mm long, 17.7mm wide and 8.0mm tall. The model with peg is compatible with a small pin and base. There was only one image of this starfighter I could find, from one panel of the first issue of the High Republic comic. I had to use a lot of my own imagination with this design. (I am aware of the amazing model by Corellian Graffiti, but I wanted to stick with what was shown in the comics.)Print InstructionsPrinted at 0.1mm layer height. Requires support on build plate.Superfluous MathsThe Z28 Skywing is most likely an early predecessor of the Z95 Headhunter. Knowing the years when each Z-number Starfighter was first produced, we can calculate the years for other Z-number Starfighters. The first chronological appearance of the Z95 in canon is in the Clone Wars Episode “Darkness on Umbara”, which takes place in 20BBY. Since Z95s do not appear in any previous episode, it is safe to assume that the Z95 was introduced in 20BBY.The Z28 first appeared in “Light of the Jedi”, but we do not know how long it was in service at this point. What we do know is that its successor, the Z29 Skyhawk, was a new starfighter in “The Rising Storm”, which is set in 231BBY.With these two points set, we can deduce that Incom builts a new Z-number starfighter every 3.2 years. The Z28 skywing would have been new in 234BBY, and the Z0 would have been new in 324BBY.That is assuming that there was a Z-number starfighter for every natural number and that the time between models is constant. As an approximate formula, for a number x, the Z-x was built in -3.2*x+324 BBY. And in the year y BBY, the newest Z-number starfighter was -0.31*y+101.2. Also I'd just like to point out, that in Star Wars Canon, there is a ship for every combination of Star/Sky and Hawk/Wing: -wing-hawkSky-Z28 SkywingZ29 SkyhawkStar-XG-1 StarwingMK1 Starhawk For Light and Life.
