Dramatic model of a Star Wars original trilogy era X-Wing starfighter, complete with fearless pilot. 60,000 vertices (excluding subsurf and bevel modifiers where applicable). Features animated undercarriage controlled by a single custom knob to raise and lower it, and animated wings operated by a custom control to open and close them. The model is segmented into three primary full PBR materials - the main fuselage and undercarriage; the wings, engines, and guns; and the pilot and R2 unit. Each material boasts base color, metallic, specular, roughness, and normal maps. The fuselage and wing maps are all 4k, while the crew maps are all 2k. The cockpit canopy also features a glass material utilizing the color and roughness fuselage maps, and the pilot's helmet visor a simple glass material. There are separate objects to add an engine exhaust with a straightforward emission material (use a glare node in compositing to add a glow). Note: Vertex count in the .obj and .fbx versions is closer to 400,000 (767,000 tris). Also, the materials may not import correctly in .obj, however each texture map is clearly named so it should be easy to relink them. The custom controls and rigging are only available in the native Blender format, the wings are built to pivot around the central origin point of the whole model but the undercarriage may require more work to reanimate (especially if using the .obj format which resets all the pivot points).
