I was printing snowflakes for the season when I stumbled upon these amazing paper designs that got me thinking - why not give them a try? So, I started by grabbing the images (not the templates) and running them through the Trace Bitmap feature in Inkscape to create SVG files. Next, I imported those into Blender where I converted them into curves and exported as STLs. Those, I then printed using Simply3D, but it would've been a cinch to use Slic3r and Pronterface instead. To my dismay, I didn't manage to take any pictures of the resulting prints because they were such a surprise - and I forgot in the moment. Here are the ones that turned out really well: R2D2 Scout Trooper Stormtrooper TIE Interceptor Yoda UPDATE (2015-12-15) I realized people are quite interested in this collection, so I took on a new challenge and converted all of Anthony's designs to give everyone more awesome options. 1- 2011 2- 2012 3- 2013 4- 2014 5- 2015
