Star Wars Republic Commando Helmet 1:1 scale
thingiverse
As May the 4th special, I decided to upload my model for cosplay. Since I couldn't find a suitable ready-to-print model that fit my needs, I created one from scratch to match the real thing as closely as possible. The model should accommodate average-sized heads, but double-check your measurements before printing if you're unsure. Visibility inside the helmet is excellent when sized correctly. Based on in-game models, I designed this helmet completely from scratch using Autodesk 3ds Max. The model includes a complete helmet and split parts for easier assembly. I separated small details for better results, although they can be included if you prefer. To minimize work, I divided the model into as few parts as possible while maintaining visibility in key areas. The main parts of the helmet have small indent holes to facilitate connection using nails or other fasteners. However, some gaps appeared between parts and required filling and sanding. While this may not be avoidable, it wasn't a significant issue for me. Special thanks to Andrey Spiridonov Photography, Ivan Kodzhanikolov, and Loli Takanori Photography for the amazing photos.
