The Republic Puzzle Box, a challenge that requires discovery of its cover, then the "force" - a cleverly hidden cut nail, and finally, the application of centrifugal force to open it. Not everyone will find it easy to figure out how to open this puzzle box without 3D printing it; it's a test of patience and persistence. Watching friends try to solve it is quite entertaining, as they struggle to figure out how to unlock its secrets. Important note: the part 4 of the instructions is huge, but don't worry, it's included in the zip file you'll download. To get started, make sure you have all the necessary materials: * 2 nails inside the box * 4 nails outside the box You will need 4 nails in total: 3 "lockers" and one special nail called the "Force". Once you've opened the box, you'll discover a hidden secret: a detailed model of Darth Vader's head, designed by csl0304 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1191485). Here are the details: The 2 nails inside the box are: * 10 mm long with a diameter of 2.30 mm. And the other 4 nails: * A large one: 50 mm long with a diameter of 2.55mm. * Two middle nails: 30 mm long with a diameter of 2.55 mm each. * The last nail is the special "Force" nail, 35 mm long with a diameter of 2.30. To assemble the puzzle box, follow these steps: 1. Open the PDF document and print the text in 2D format. 2. Cut out each strip of text and arrange them as shown in the pictures. Mounting Steps: ---------------- Once you've cut all the nails, follow these instructions carefully: 1. Place the first inside nail (10 mm length) on either side - start with one side, then move to the other. 2. Apply strong glue to one of the small parts 2. 3. Attach the small part on top, covering the inside nail. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the next side. 5. Ensure that the nails inside can move freely once glued in place. 6. Push the inside nails into the previously assembled part and attach part 3 on top of it. 7. Place part 4 (the large ornament with the Republic logo) on top of part 3 - be careful not to use excessive force, as this may damage the box. If part 4 doesn't fit perfectly, rotate it slightly until it clicks into place. 8. Shake the box gently, and the nails will slide into place, closing the puzzle box. 9. To add an extra level of difficulty, arrange the outside nails in their designated positions, as shown in the pictures. To open the box, carefully remove all the outside nails using the "Force" nail, then apply centrifugal force by rotating the entire box on a flat surface - this will allow you to access the contents. And that's it! You've solved the puzzle box and earned the right to claim your prize: a beautifully crafted Darth Vader head. Enjoy your triumph!
