DESCRIPTION: I was looking for a straightforward star wars-like light saber here and didn't find any that were just simple fun. The handle is meant to hold 2 C-size batteries in case you want to add a light. You can choose the type of light you put in it. For this first version, you will need 150mm of build height. The tubes are tested in ABS. Note: You can print the tubes and the SaberConnector in the same location since they won't touch each other. Estimated print time for everything on a Makerbot 2X is about 10 hours. PS: Remove the last tube if you give this to small kids so you don't have to say "don't poke your eye out". I think PLA might be too brittle but it all depends on your specific PLA and the kind of force you might be using against the saber. Good Luck. Post-Printing Helper Disk Removal: It should only take a few minutes to separate the concentric tubes from the 0.2mm layer helper disk at the bottom. I added it there to ensure a good stick to the build plate. It should only be one layer thick and easy to remove and peel off.
