Star Wars Legion Terrain - Crates, Barrels and Barricades

I've finally found some time to give them a paint job and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. ** UPDATE (3/21/18) ** Reworked Crate 5 from Rogue One to adjust the scale of the middle section, and redid some of the details. I've posted it as V2. ** UPDATE: ** Added a generic "imperial" barricade using wall sections of the Imperial Bunkers model. ** UPDATE (1/9/20) ** Fixed Barricade 4 to remove an errant piece of geometry. I've been working on building terrain for the new tabletop miniatures game Star Wars Legion. I started by making a couple crates as background terrain, and the project got out of control. I searched books and image search for star wars related crates then created them as close as possible, keeping in mind that they are pretty small. Crate 1 - seen in numerous background scenes in SW Crate 2 - based on the Scan Tech box that they use to scan the Falcon in the Death Star hanger. Crate 3 - inspired by a design I found online. Crate 4 - seen often in Star Wars Rebels. Crate 5 - seen in Rogue One movie, for Kyber Crystal storage. Crate 6 - seen in factory levels in Battle Front II Barrel 1 - Star Wars rebels again. Barrel 2 - found next to the Lars homestead in Episode 4. Ammo Crate 1 - something I put together to have a low profile crate for the barricades. Barricades 1-4 Using the Crates, and Barrels I created a few "barricade" type pieces of terrain. I figured since the main game comes with boring barricades, I wanted to upgrade them with something a bit more in flavor of the world. I put together the crates and barrels in somewhat arbitrary configurations to provide some cover for my Rebel Troopers while they blast the bucket heads back to the death star. I've painted a few of these, and they are fun to paint. I usually prime them with a base primer of white or tan. Then I just apply thin coats of paint in a single color nothing too bright, with a black or brown wash over the top to finish and make them look a bit grungy. Enjoy!
