Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - Power and Control Lightsaber (Game Model)

Hey everyone, I'd like to show off a little project I've been working on. If you're interested in learning more, helping out, or staying up-to-date, please join my Discord Server. This is part of the collection of Lightsabers from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Specifically, this one showcases the Power and Control saber with all its variations. You can print it from any of the three phases of the game: Start, Double, or Repaired. I want to emphasize that I didn't create these models; instead, I extracted them from the game and converted them into OBJs. The real credit for creating these stunning models goes to the talented art team at Respawn Entertainment. These models were taken directly from the game with no modifications, so there may be some issues printing them that I'll address in due course. Below is a Q&A session: 1. What game are they from? a. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - please support the developers and official release. 2. What's with the images? a. You've got a color render as it would look in-game, an actual geometry render, and just the Bump/Normal map to show you the surface detail. 3. What's a bump/normal map? a. Simply put, it's a special kind of texture used in games to fake surface detail. It can't be printed because it's not part of the model. 4. Why have you included it if it can't be printed? a. Because I know it can be "rebaked" back into the model - I just don't know how to do it myself right now. 5. How big should it be? a. I would recommend that the grip is between 30mm and 40mm wide, then scale everything to that size. This depends on your hands' size. 6. Have you printed them yourself? a. Not yet - but I'm planning to soon! 7. Does it need supports? a. Yes, I would recommend using tree supports myself. 8. There's something wrong with the model. a. Let me know and I'll fix it ASAP. 9. Will there be a proper version meant for 3D Printing? a. Yes - I'm working on that right now! If you do end up printing this, please share your creation and let me know; I'd love to see what people come up with!
