Star Wars Imperial Snowflake (BlocksCAD Snowflake Challenge)
thingiverse
I designed this snowflake for the contest, and it's my second attempt at creating something unique. Drawing inspiration from Star Wars, I chose the Imperial insignia for its distinctive six-pronged design. To add some personality to my design, I used the Text tool instead of shapes for certain features, like the eyes of the stormtroopers, the tops of their helmets, and the intricate details within the insignia itself - using commas for the eyes, closed parentheses for the helmet tops, and apostrophes for the insignia's inner workings. Although I'm unsure if this design will print smoothly due to my lack of access to a printer, I made an effort to think creatively with the tools available in BlocksCAD. Additionally, I annotated every block within the rotate loop to make it easy for others to understand how each component functions.
