Blackout portion of a LED lighting feature for the IKEA KALLEX shelving unitUsing double-sided tape, attach a piece of vellum (semi-transparent paper) to the back (inside) of the panel. Run LED lights along the edge of the shelving unit right behind the insert (facing into the shelf).I used Govee RGBIC LED Strip Lights with the “Candle” effect to add a nice glowI added blackout panels behind the shelving unit as well to add to the effect.
