Star Wars Flash Drive and USB Port Extension
youmagine
My buddy and I set out to recreate Luke Skywalker's map from "The Force Awakens." We took it a step further, a dozen steps, actually. To clarify, we didn't print the actual map itself. Instead, we printed the flash-drive-shaped object that BB-8 carries around, but with enough space inside for a real flash drive. That's when it hit us: "What good is a flash drive without a USB port?" So, we decided to 3D print a Star Wars-themed USB port using over a dozen PLA parts. The result was a fully functional mechanical iris door at the top and a descending vertical port that moves mechanically. Now, the Resistance can finally read those pesky USB drives.
