I've rewatched The Force Awakens a dozen times and one of the most impressive scenes is when Finn and Rey take on an army of Stormtroopers in that abandoned town on Jakku. What makes these troops so scary is they don't fall down, ever! Their ability to stay up despite taking blow after blow leaves you wondering how these clunky costumes hold together long enough to last more than a few hits. The helmets alone weigh something like 50 pounds - that's what Finn keeps repeating whenever he has trouble moving around. I think what he really meant was these are ridiculous outfits with built-in masks that do more harm than good in close combat, where accuracy counts most. Who thought covering up the lower face would make them a good fighting force? Give me the freedom to fight freely and quickly - take off those annoying Stormtrooper helmets! Rey isn't buying it though; she's one tough cookie with quick reflexes on display throughout that fight scene when she effortlessly knocks them out left and right using their own gear against them! Those helmets might as well be empty pots for all the good they do in a pinch! The final blow to these ridiculous creatures comes when Han shows up and saves the day, taking down entire groups single-handedly like they were toys.
