Bane's revenge on the Jedi came a millennium later, when Darth Sidious unleashed the Clone Wars and reorganized the Republic into the Galactic Empire , ordering the extermination of the Jedi. The victory, however, did not last long: just over two decades later, Sidious' apprentice Darth Vader redeemed himself as the Jedi Knight he once was, and killed his master at the cost of his own life, ending to the Sith once and for all.
