The Ataraxia“the Ataraxia, the one large starship under direct control of the Jedi Order. It was a beautiful ship, designed to subtly evoke the Order’s symbol with its hull and sweeping, curved wings accented in white and gold. While the Ataraxia would be permanently stationed at the new Starlight Beacon station once it opened, today it had come to offer support to the RDC task force. The ship was lightly armed, but it could carry a large number of Vectors, and on this day its hangars were full.” [Soule, Charles. Star Wars: Light of the Jedi, Chapter Thirty-Six]The Ataraxia has appeared in several issues of the High Republic comic. These depictions however are never fully consistent with one another. This model is largely based on its appearances in "Star Wars:The High Republic (2021-) #11" (The depictions in the comics do not fit the description from Light of the Jedi very well.)Print InstructionsThe model is scaled at 1:500, 1:1,000 and 1:2,000.1:500The total size is 363mm long, 152mm wide and 48mm tall. The ship is split into three pieces: “ataraxia-1_500_bow”, “ataraxia-1_500_middle”, and “ataraxia-1_500_stern”. All pieces require supports on buildplate. The piece “ataraxia-1_500_connector” connects the middle with the stern. (In the gcode-files, it is printed alongside the stern.) There is also a simple stand, available with nameplate ("ataraxia-1_500_stand_nameplate") or without ("ataraxia-1_500_stand"). Everything was printed in PLA at 0.2mm layer height.1:1000The total size is 181mm long, 76mm wide and 24mm tall. The ship is printed in a single piece: “ataraxia-1_1000”. It requires supports on buildplate and is printed at an angle so that the supports can reach the bow. Everything was printed in PLA at 0.2mm layer height.1:2000The total size is 91mm long, 38mm wide and 12mm tall. The ship is printed in a single piece: “ataraxia-1_2000”. It requires supports on buildplate and is printed at an angle so that the supports can reach the bow. Everything was printed in PLA at 0.1mm layer height.ScaleThere are no canon dimensions for this ship as of yet, so I had to come up with a size myself. I've scaled it so that a Jedi Vector can fit through the hangar opening. This puts the Ataraxia at about 180m long, 100m wide and 24m tall. The next render shows Ataraxia parked inside Starlight Beacon (As seen in “Star Wars:The High Republic (2021-) #12”). This uses the “big” version of Starlight Beacon, which is about 3,400m tall and 1,700m wide.Using this size, the Ataraxia is slightly bigger than a CR90 Corvette, as can be seen in the final render.
