A few weeks ago a renowned 3D artist who contributed to the iconic Star Wars movie shared an impressive library of Star Wars 3D models on reddit. The artist emphasized that these model files originated from a high-end 3D sculpting program, but had not undergone the necessary optimization for 3D printing. I took it upon myself to bring them up to speed using netfabb, aka the STL first aid kit, and am now confident they're ready to go.
