Star Wars Arquitens Cruiser

Star Wars Arquitens Cruiser

This is a 1:2,000 scale model of an Arquitens-class Light Cruiser from Star Wars with two versions. The Republic Arquitens ("print_sw_arquitens-republic.stl") is based on its appearance in Clone Wars, the Imperial Arquitens ("print_sw_arquitens-empire.stl") is based on Rebels. (Note that this is not Gideons Cruiser from The Mandalorian.)

It is a remix of my earlier Imperial Arquitens Cruiser. Compared to the original, I've added more details as well as a republic version.

Differences between the Republic and Imperial Arquitens

The most notable differences are:

The republic Arquitens has four double-barreled broadside cannons. On the imperial Arquitens, these are replaced with escape pods.

The underside of the bridge of the republic Arquitens slopes down towards the sides.

The connection between the main hull and engines is thicker on the imperial Arquitens.

The connection between the individual engines is horizontal on the republic Arquitens. On the imperial Arquitens, it slopes upwards, covering the middle engine.

There are some other minor differences in the surface details between both versions.

Broadside Cannons on the Republic Arquitens

The broadside cannons on the republic Arquitens don't point straight out, but a bit forward to reduce their overhang to 45°.

If you do not want this, use “print_sw_arquitens-republic_overhang.stl” instead. Here the broadside cannons point straight out, overhanging at 70°. I did not print this model and there are no pre-sliced files for it. If you want to use this model, I recommend printing “print_sw_arquitens-overhang_test.stl” first. It includes only one cannon and lets you test your settings before committing to the whole model.

Chimaera Emblem for the Imperial Arquitens

Also included is the emblem from ISD Chimaera adapted to fit on the imperial Arquitens ("print_sw_arquitens-chimaera_underside" and “print_sw_arquitens-chimaera_topside”). Just add them as a part to the imperial Arquitens before slicing. There is no Arquitens which carries this emblem, I just think it looks cool. (And it was quite easy to do since I've already done the same for my Imperial Star Destroyer.)

Print Instructions

Printed in PLA at 0.15mm layer height.

For supports, select “Support Enforcers Only” and add “print_sw_arquitens-support.stl” as a support enforcer. (In PrusaSlicer, right-click on the arquitens-model, choose “add support enforcer”→"load…" and select “print_sw_arquitens-support.stl”.)
