Star Trek TOS Tricorder Remix

<p>This s a remix of the awesome Original Series tricorder by <a href="https://www.printables.com/social/6212-unimatrixred/about">UnimatrixRed</a></p><p>I changed the width between the frame edges to match a picture that I saw of the original being measured by The Wand Company for their soon to be released Tricorder. I also made the top of the hood, frame and sides a little less rounded.<br>I made holes in the two front doors so that metal rods (14 gauge wire) could be used for hinges.</p><p>I printed all of the exterior Black part with the “fuzzy skin” texture to get the look of the original Kydex haircell parts.</p><p>I also added holes for screw heads to match the ones on the original near the strap holes and on the back.</p><p>I used the following filament for the metallic parts as it had a much more metallic look that was closer to the original aluminum parts.&nbsp;</p><p>MIKA3D - Silk Metallic Shiny Silver PLA Filament on Amazon</p><p>NOTE 1: Any parts not in the remix folder aren't changed, so those can be found in the original folder (like the moire ring and divider parts).</p><p>NOTE 2: The photo of my build of the remix has an actual metal face-plate that I purchased on eBay and the moire pattern is printed on photo paper.</p><p><br>&nbsp;</p>
