This is a modified Sketchup Warehouse file from https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=65bb3d97d781f3b182943be7b02ac5fb. The original model was far from ready for printing. It lacked tolerances for the lid/screen and any form of hinge. I devised a hinge that utilizes a ball and socket with friction, which pops in nicely. However, my first print was poorly finished due to some printing problems... after running it through NetFabb, I think it is ready now. But unfortunately, my printer has stopped working! Expecting a replacement soon... but until then, here's the file as it stands. I will post updates as I get the chance to test the prints. UPDATE: I got my new printer, loaded up "pure" PLA (colorless), and let it go with the new STL. The body came out perfect... the cover/antenna grid came out perfect... but the walls are too thin, as seen in the photo where I'm bending it with minimal finger pressure. So the body is ready now... back to the CAD-board for the cover. It needs thicker walls. UPDATE TWO: Wythkyn just made a cover that fits this communicator body.
