Star Trek TNG Type I Phaser Kit
thingiverse
Here is my version of the famous type-I 'cricket' phaser used on Star Trek: The Next Generation. -Update 4/8/21 I finally got a chance to update the TNG type I phaser to make it look a little better. The original model I remixed by AcesusWindel was great, but it had visual reminders of the sculpting that was done on it. So I wanted a model with a steadier shape and after a lot of trial and error, I was able to design my own version. It's still not completely accurate, but it looks way better than before. The thumbpad doesn't fit deep in the side slots, but it does catch on the front and back - just glue it down. No supports are needed for any parts, but if you have issues with the cutouts on the body then use some supports. All parts should open in the orientation that I printed them in. The emitter tip pieces are a tight fit, so if you have trouble, try scaling them down to 98% of the original size and see if it helps. I also included a display stand for you to use. Here is what filaments were used: CC3D silk red, silk rose gold, silk antique gold; Ziro silk silver (trigger) The main body was made of Prusa silver PLA The power indicator was another generic sample, translucent green PLA The thumb pad was AIO Robotics dark gray PLA
