I created this badge inspired by the TNG version, combining it with a pin back that I attached to the back of the pin using hot glue (check out the pic). The badge in the image was printed on my Printrbot Play. To get started, I used Gimp to create an SVG file that defined the overall shape of the badge, then I employed 123design to transform the SVG into a 3D STL format for printing.
