Star Trek themed Catan Pieces - for 3D printed board

thingiverse

I wanted to create some Star Trek themed Catan game pieces to match my 3D printed magnetic snap-together game board. I remixed existing components from others in the following ways: Settlements/cities: I modified a base platform to fit the board size, making it 15mm in diameter and more stable. The idea is to glue together three bottom base pieces to form a single settlement piece, eliminating the need for supports during printing. Check out the original design by danielcapua for an assembly picture. You can upgrade your settlement to a city by adding a large round disc on top in-game. Roads: I used an existing latinum bar model from newdominion to create a correctly-sized road piece, measuring just under 32mm. Your streets will be paved with gold - the analog way! Seafarers expansion ships: I started with danielcapua's enterprise pieces and created a new base sized to fit the board. Crossings: I like having these round pieces that connect roads where no settlement or city is placed, adding visual appeal to the board. These came from an existing Starfleet logo by f16v1per.
