Star Trek - The Next Generation Borg Cube
thingiverse
I reduced the outer dimensions to make it printable, but unfortunately, some detail was lost on the outside in the process. To fit within the smaller space, I had to slice the model, which surprisingly still required a significant amount of filament and print time - around 30 hours worth. I plan to investigate further when I have more time available. If anyone has suggestions for reducing this massive print job, please feel free to share your expertise in the comments below. Thanks are due to nd4spd1919 for initially uploading the original file. UPDATE: After posting my previous message, an idea struck me - all sides of the model were identical but oriented differently. I decided to cut one side and rotate the edges by 45 degrees. This modified version is now ready to print once I complete printing DS9. UPDATE 2: I added a separate file for the piping that surrounds the outer surface of the Borg cube. I made sure the piping matches the dimensions of each individual side, which should ensure a seamless fit.
