Star Trek Romulan Vreedex Class

I created this design which was officially recognized by Paramount for use in a Star Trek video game, making it an authentic Romulan ship. This advanced X-Cruiser was designed specifically for Taldren's "Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates" expansion and reflects the era just after the original Kirk movie. To bridge the gap between the classic white Bird of Prey and the Next Generation's green D'deridex warbird, I combined these two iconic designs. If you take a closer look, you can see the silhouette of the original BOP in there, with a distinctive bird beak added - a technique I also used when creating the Centurion class for Interplay's Starfleet Command game. This low poly model was designed to run smoothly in game engines from the turn of this century and has been preserved with subtle detail added through bump mapping, just as it appeared in the game.
