**** DO NOT USE THE 'DOWNLOAD ALL FILES' button you normally use because its broken and not updating to the latest files that were uploaded. Use this link to download the newest files: https://www.thingiverse.com/download:11190135 **Major Update 12/7/21 - Reworked all of the parts to better fit the correct prop dimensions, so it is thinner now but more accurate. Added a display stand too. Please re-download this model to have the latest files. Many thanks to don1701 for providing me the correct measurements. The body was split so the top face is printed separately. This lets you experiment with the top surface quality (I used ironing) without wasting as much material. Some parts may need a little trimming/sanding/filing if there are issues fitting them. Here's my version of the tricorder prop seen in Star Trek: Nemesis. It was a fairly simple design which relied heavily on the large LCD to draw attention, so there were barely any working lights on it compared to other tricorders. It also doesn't have the traditional label that says what model number and mark it is, so its an odd prop for sure. The scanner lid uses a 6x2mm magnet to hold it closed. To connect the flip top to the body, insert its arms into the slots then insert the hinge pins into the rectangular holes and slide them outward until secure. **Each pin fits only one side so you will need to match them up. The key plate then covers the rectangular holes. Use supports for the grips (print them standing up for best results) and the side button. The tiny LED part used color swapping to get the white and red. I included graphics too. Will try to add a medical version some day.
