Star Trek - Ganine Classic Chess Set: Queen

The cover photo showcases three distinct sets: the original piece positioned at the rear, a full-size print taking center stage, and a 70% scaled version displayed prominently in the foreground. Each upload includes photographs that highlight the printed item, its corresponding 70% size print (which surprisingly fits neatly under attack boards), and an original piece for direct comparison purposes. When assembling the Bishops and Pawns, I discovered it was beneficial to drill a hole through the center of the base part to run a length of filament up the core for added stability and alignment. Additionally, I found that using a product called "Plastruct Plastic Weld" proves incredibly effective on ABS plastic! This remarkable adhesive melts ABS with ease, allowing me to smooth out surfaces after assembly - although my wife humorously dubs it "stinky glue," so be sure to use it in a well-ventilated area. Completing a set requires patience and time, but the end results are undeniably worth the effort. I invite you to enjoy this delightful project!
