Star Trek - Ganine Classic Chess Set: King
thingiverse
The cover photo showcases three distinct sets: the original piece takes center stage at the back, while a full-size print occupies the middle row and 70% prints dominate the front row. Each upload features photos comparing the printed item to its larger counterparts - a 70% sized print that snugly fits beneath the attack boards and an original piece. When assembling the Bishops and Pawns, I found it helpful to drill holes in their centers and run a length of filament up through them for added stability and alignment. I've also discovered that "Plastruct Plastic Weld" is a game-changer when working with ABS plastic - this product melts ABS, allowing me to smooth out surfaces after assembly. However, my wife has dubbed it "stinky glue," so be sure to use it in well-ventilated areas! While building a set takes time, I firmly believe the end result is worth the effort. Enjoy!
