Star Trek: Frontiers boasts impressive ship models, including the Borg cubes, but many other game elements are disappointingly simplistic, resembling cardboard cutouts. I decided to revamp the tokens representing restricted spaces by turning them into models that actually hold the tokens in place. Print Settings Printer Brand: CEL Printer: Robox Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: 20% Notes: Ensure your bed adhesion is strong, as printing these models with rafts makes cleaning extremely difficult. Supports are a good idea for the warbird, but the other two should print just fine without them. The warbird requires some cleaning, but it looks sharp when finished. Designing This Project I solidified the warbird model in Tinkercad by strengthening its wispy details. Due to scale limitations, I couldn't make the warbird fully hollow, so I compromised on a design that still holds up well. A skilled painter can definitely make this model look awesome. To get the slots just right, I measured the tokens with a caliper and conducted several test prints to ensure the model holds the token securely without being too tight or risking damage to the cardboard.
