Star Trek Enterprise NX-01 Patch Coaster

As you've probably already guessed, I'm a huge Star Trek enthusiast. One of the lesser-regarded Star Trek spinoff series that really caught my attention was Star Trek - Enterprise. Set before the founding of the Federation and about 100 years before the adventures of Captain Kirk and the USS Enterprise, it tells the story of the first deep-space exploration vessel, the NX-01 Enterprise, her captain Jonathan Archer, and his talented crew. Personally, I thought it was an absolute masterpiece that deserved much better than to be summarily cancelled just when it was really hitting its stride. So, I decided to take a bold step and bring the iconic NX-01 patch, worn proudly on the shoulder of the uniform, into the 3D printing world. I'm not going to sugarcoat it for you - this coaster is an absolute beast to assemble. It took me over three hours, armed with nothing but tweezers, to get everything just right where I was happy with it, but now that it's finished, I'm incredibly proud of what I've achieved. It also features strategically placed holes in the back for mounting 3x5mm neodymium magnets, allowing it to be retrofitted as a magnetic sign or permanently mounted.
