Star Trek Enterprise (Kelvin Timeline) - No Support Cut
thingiverse
The model has been segmented into multiple sections in order to print it without requiring any support material. It has also been enlarged to a length of 220mm, allowing for easier handling and printing. Part 1, 7, and 8 can be printed with zero infill percentage, resulting in the most lightweight structure possible. To simplify the gluing process, FilaPins are strategically placed at each cut section. To produce these pins, you will need thirteen pieces of 1.75mm filament, each measuring 9mm in length. Due to their unique design, scaling down this model is not recommended. Additionally, a 3mm hole has been integrated into part 2, enabling the ship to be securely positioned on its base using a stand or support. This hole can be used with a piece of 3mm clear filament for added stability. For those interested in printing the Star Trek Ship Base design, it is available online at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3361765. If you prefer not to include the hole for the stand, you can simply use part 2 without it. The creator of this model, Solid_Alexei, has done an outstanding job in designing a precise replica of the Enterprise D, which is available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1423364.
