I'm not exactly thrilled about sports (although I do have a soft spot for Formula 1, mainly because of its geeky science behind making cars go faster). Still, I know I'm in the minority, so it was inevitable that I'd end up creating a sports-themed coaster or plaque. So here's my compromise: fellow Star Trek fans will recognize the DS9 Niners emblem from one of THE best DS9 episodes – and it just happens to be Captain Benjamin Sisko's own baseball team. Baseball may still be alive, but this tribute is also a nod to sci-fi nerdiness.
