Star Trek Discovery DISCO T-Shirt kit

Human: KIT that can reproduce the DISCO T-shirt as seen on Star Trek: Discovery.\r\n\r\nThe "DISCO" text closely resembles the original, and the Star Trek symbol is molded after the iconic design.\r\n\r\nI printed the two files using regular PLA with a 0.2mm layer height and then applied them to a T-Shirt using an iron at max settings, placing a sheet of non-stick cooking paper between the plastic and the iron. Be cautious not to apply too little heat or pressure, as this may cause the parts to curl in on themselves; conversely, applying too much pressure or heat can result in smudging or deforming the prints (as seen with the "D" in the second design).\r\n\r\nThe success of this process hinges on three key factors:\r\n\r\n1) Printing thin layers, 0.2-0.3mm thick, without a raft and peeling them off carefully can help achieve a smooth finish.\r\n2) Place all parts on a T-Shirt and cover with non-stick baking paper before ironing, ensuring the iron never touches the plastic components.\r\n3) Apply heat to melt the PLA into the fabric without causing it to smear or deform.\r\n\r\nOne drawback of this process is that PLA lacks flexibility, making it uncomfortable to wear when designs are large. Washing and re-ironing the shirt can also be problematic due to the rigidity of PLA.\r\n\r\nFrom my research, flexible filaments may be better suited for this type of project; I'm eagerly awaiting samples to test their suitability.\r\n\r\nEnjoy your DISCO t-shirt!
