The original phaser design from the 1967 Star Trek TV series gets a modern makeover with this remix. The P1 part is now detachable from the P2 component, allowing for greater flexibility and ease of use. P1 is printed flat, requiring no supports to complete its shape. In contrast, the P2 components are designed to be printed in two halves - left and right - which lie flat on the bed during printing with minimal support required. To ensure successful printing, a temperature of 205 degrees Celsius is recommended for PLA material. The heated bed should be set to 60 degrees Celsius for optimal results. A layer height of 0.018 inches allows for precise control over the printing process, while also minimizing the risk of warping or other defects. Finally, a skirt around the print bed helps to prevent adhesion and makes removal easier once the printing is complete.
