Star Realms Deck Box

I was impressed by the Star Realms Card Box created by Pigworthy, but wanted to retain its positive features while enhancing functionality. Specifically, I sought to improve retention of the lid and organize the deck for faster game setup. This led me to recreate the box and lid from scratch, incorporating his logo geometry with some modifications into the deck box inset and using his text geometry for the lid inset. I designed a total of seven compartments (as shown in the labeled image): - Rules sheets - 10/20 counters - 1/5 counters - Starter deck - Starter deck - Explorers - Trade deck The compartmentalized box enables game setup by removing decks and placing them on the table, followed by shuffling starter decks. Note that compartment dimensions are tailored to specific cards, with tight tolerances. To avoid damage, cards should be placed as indicated in the labeled image. Forcing cards into an undersized compartment could result in scratching or damage. Inlays To experiment with inlays, I first designed the logo and text inset for the box and lid, respectively. Below is a brief overview of how I filled the inlays once printing was complete.
